Prerequisites: AAD 251 and AAD 252. Introduction to stylistic, technical and iconographical developments in Italian art and architecture, leading up to and including the Renaissance period, 1200-1400. Examination of the aspirations, achievements and disappointments of major artists within their historical, social and cultural contexts. Offered alternate years.
