Course Description

Prerequisite: Graduate Standing. This course provides students with cultural knowledge and understanding of Deaf culture in America. Topics include the effects of hearing loss, communication options, assistive technologies, and cultural norms. Students develop skills for effective communication with Deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals. Offered every spring.
